The BDM is responsible for developing, implementing and tracking, with CD Team, the Promo Strategy to grow market share and build brand equity. Need to ensure ROI and maximize and monitor GTN. Will be the liaison between Consumer Experience, CDT & Finance ensuring that the Customer Business Plans are
aligned with Colgate Brand and RE strategies. Will also work closely with other cross-functional members including Supply Chain, Packaging and Insights/Analytics in order to ensure best in class in-store plans and their flawless execution.
Main Responsibilities:
Promotional Plans
- Co-Create with CDM the Promo plan by Customer
- Recommend the best customer promo tools that ensures the execution of the 5P strategy
- Use Nielsen & customer data tools to monitor business plans, SOM, identify opportunities and address business challenges
- Ensure Promo Plan delivers the agreed pricing objectives
- Deep understanding of competition Promo strategies on prioritized customers
Brand Event Implementation
- Define and coordinate plans between the CD team and CX for correct event maximization. Ensure corrective actions to address gaps and identify opportunities
- Ensure best in class promo plan implementation at store in coordination with CD and FF teams, while maximizing event communication using customer mechanics
Gtn
- Prepare investment posture, budget allocation and monitor of GTN by customer
- Monitor GtN implementation and spending vs plans. Continuously seeks to maximise/optimise investment impact
- Annual GTN estimation by customer
- Recommend counterparts for customer negotiations based on brand & RE strategy
- Elevate Risks and Opportunities to maximize GTN revenue
Customer Engagement
- Support the CD team with an extra level of customer relationship with the Buyer and other customer members.
- Develops and implements specific initiatives - regularly meets with assigned Customers and helps on preparation of TtT with top customers
Cross-Functional Engagement
- Works cross functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Insights/Analytics, Packaging and Finance to deliver superior promotional plan & deliver engagement &reinforce brand equity perception
- Leads strategic cross-functional meetings to ensure promotional execution excellence with cross-functional teams
Range Of Qualifications:
- Level of Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent or higher
- Minimum of 2-3 years of commercial experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry (including combination of progressive roles in field sales, corporate sales, marketing, finance and/or supply chain)
Functional Experience And Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Google Suite (preferred) or Microsoft Office and analytical tools
- Advanced Nielsen scantrack user experience
- Entrepreneurial Mindset - Passion for growth and trying new things
- Bias to action - Pro-active, takes initiative to anticipate and resolve issues
- Comfortable working in a fast evolving business environment while managing “lots of moving parts & details”

- Strong influence and negotiation skills for win-win solutions and understanding the customer’s underlying priorities

- Uses shopper insights to develop commercial in-store recommendations
- Strong relationship skills - works effectively cross-functionally to align priorities, solve problems, optimize resources and drive effective execution
