Purpose
The Email Marketing Coordinator reports to the Manager, Digital Experience.
The purpose of this job is to support the digital experience team with the execution of email marketing and automation campaigns for both B2C and B2B channels of our business. The position will support the development and execution of Armstrong Collective’s email marketing and nurture stream activities to generate sales from our marketing funnel and improve the experience for our guests and partners. The role will also support the development of marketing automation programs and processes that establish a strong platform and data foundation.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Meet, and where possible, exceed Armstrong Collective Marketing goals for lead conversion, guest referrals and overall online revenue growth
- Deliver all email campaigns on time, on budget and without error
- Ensure all email campaigns are consistent with the Armstrong Collective brand guidelines
- Work collaboratively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the Marketing team
Lead Nurturing and Email Marketing
- Develop email communications and nurture streams in collaboration with the Marketing Automation Specialist as well as RM’s brand marketing and content marketing teams.
- Support in discovering new lead nurture opportunities to drive core KPIs.
- Continuously test and optimize existing lead nurture and email campaigns (e.g. promotional emails).
- Work with stakeholders to design and deploy ad-hoc email campaigns to achieve business needs (i.e. invite trade show attendees, push TRACKS completion and booking, etc.).
- Execute email program setup: create custom fields, segments, Marketo landing page, campaign send logic.
- Analyze data and campaign results to improve email effectiveness and campaign results, including guest acquisition, revenue, and email engagement.
- Collaborate with partners on the development of new email templates and the redesign of existing templates, following best practices for optimization, deliverability, and design.
- Build and test emails prior to deployment.
- Ensure email campaigns are accurately tracked.
- Assist with EOC communications, ensuring Marketo communications with guests are scheduled correctly, booking IDs and email contacts for both guest and relevant trade partners are accurately segmented, and stakeholders are informed of all EOC email activities.
Automation Platform Management
- Support efforts to maintain database health and data quality.
- Troubleshoot marketing automation issues such as debugging email programs and lead management issues.
- Find areas of improvement in building and deploying email campaigns.
- Build and maintain quality lists that support email and automation efforts.
- Ensure our database is up to date with the latest CASL and GDPR compliance regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing attribution systems.
- Support the development and implementation of lifecycle management and lead scoring capabilities.
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators to enhance integrations and troubleshoot CRM issues.
Reporting & Analytics
- Create dashboards and reports that accurately communicate marketing automation and email results.
- Support quality control of data tracking and reporting on Marketo.
- Develop standards for tracking activities in Marketo using industry best-practices.
- Analyze the performance of email campaigns and nurture programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams and other Armstrong Collective stakeholders to develop A/B tests that will provide insightful, actionable learnings.
- Analyze results from A/B tests and provide recommendations.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications / Knowledge
- Technical degree in Technology or Marketing (required)
- Bachelor' degree in Technology or Marketing (desired)
Experience
- 1 + years’ experience with building lead nurture and lifecycle management programs using enterprise-level marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, Sitecore Experience Automation, etc.).
- Experience in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and database management including: list management, cleansing, de-duplication, data validation, custom report creation, and import/export of data (desired)
- A successful track record of building email and lead nurture campaigns
- 1 + years’ experience in a relevant Marketing or Sales Operations role with a deep understanding of lead-to-revenue demand funnels and reporting (desired)
- Experience in demand generation strategies (desired)
Skills
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
- Understanding of marketing strategy and customer psychology
- Understanding of integrated digital marketing strategies
- Ability to write compelling content for email marketing (desired)
- Knowledge of data reporting tools like PowerBI or Tableau (desired)
- Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio diagramming (or similar workflow diagramming) experience (desired)
- HTML, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience (desired).
Working Conditions
• Employees must reside within the Greater Vancouver, BC area. This is a hybrid role where employees will be required to work from the Vancouver head office at least 3-days per week.
Compensation
- The base salary offered for this role is $52,000 to $64,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
- Eligible for Armstrong Collective’s discretionary bonus program
