HR Specialist (replacement for ML)

Description

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive HR Specialist to join our team and ensure the smooth running of all Human Resources processes.

This role includes end-to-end ownership of HR operations – from recruitment and employee lifecycle management to payroll and welfare activities.

The position is initially a maternity leave replacement, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle – from job postings and CV screening to interviews and candidate communication.
• Lead smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Oversee payroll processing, prepare monthly salary reports for the controller, update raises, bonuses, and employment changes, and liaise with insurance agents in the process.
• Serve as the go-to person for employees on HR-related matters across the employee lifecycle, including leaves of absence, welfare, and personal queries.
• Ensure seamless day-to-day HR activities, including maintaining and updating the HR system (bob).
• Assist in planning and executing company-wide activities, programs, and welfare initiatives to foster a positive and engaging work environment.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
• Previous experience in a startup environment – a must.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
• Positive, approachable, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fast learner, proactive, and resourceful.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on experience with bob HRIS.
