About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager to take the reins of our Infrastructure & Operations team, providing strong technical leadership, stability, and structure.

Based in our office in Wellington for an initial 9 months ((possibility to extend a further 3 months). This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone who can balance technical leadership, depth and operational oversight while ensuring systems run smoothly and helping shape the future of our infrastructure environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide technical leadership and support to a small team, setting clear objectives and building accountability
• Coach and mentor to strengthen delivery, communication, and collaboration
• Own and steady IT operations
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations to maintain system stability, uptime, and responsiveness
• Bring clarity to ownership, priorities, and escalation pathways
• Manage vendor relationships and performance across infrastructure services
• Drive project delivery and structure
• Take ownership of in-flight infrastructure initiatives, ensuring they’re well scoped, tracked, and delivered
• Act as key stakeholder across internal projects, including work with third party vendors and other partners
• Oversee vendor engagement

What You’Ll Bring

• Proven experience leading IT operations or infrastructure teams in complex environments
• Strong technical grounding in Azure and on-premise infrastructure
• Experience with Linux and modern hybrid IT models
• Confidence managing multiple third-party vendors and holding them to account
• Pragmatic, structured, and delivery-driven approach - able to bring order quickly and execute with pace
