Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator position is based at the Leonard Mt. Airy, NC Distribution Center (DC), with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes, coordinating shipments, managing inventory, fostering effective communication with internal and external partners, analyzing logistics performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the company. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Trailers, and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with procurement, production, and sales teams to plan and execute efficient supply chain processes.
- Monitors inventory levels and collaborate on inventory replenishment strategies.
- Ensures alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Coordinates shipments from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
- Arranges transportation, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and managing shipment documentation.
- Tracks and updates shipment status, providing timely information to internal stakeholders.
- Oversees inventory movements and storage across multiple locations.
- Implements inventory control measures to prevent shortages and excess stock.
- Collaborates with warehouse teams to optimize space utilization and picking processes.
- Communicates effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Collaborates with customs brokers and ensures compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Addresses logistics-related inquiries and issues promptly and proactively.
- Analyzes logistics data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepares and presents regular reports on logistics performance metrics to management.
- Implements continuous improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights.
Other Duties:
- Complete Transfers once loads at Warehouse are completed
- Put together Driver Packets
- Receive in Vendor Loads at 090
- Complete 090/091 Inventory Monthly
- Complete audit of Certificate of Origins
- Track Open Orders and assign plan
- Provide Customer Service for the Stores
- Plan and Schedule Company drivers loads from warehouse and store to store
- Keep track of 091 repaired trailers

Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities):
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
Travel:
This position does not require travel.
