We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Financial Controller. This position reports to General Manager and will work in Selsey, West Sussex, United Kingdom.

Dometic Marine’s facility in Selsey, UK manufactures bespoke blinds, shades and soft furnishings for the world’s leading motorboat and yacht builders.
About The Position
As a Financial Controller in the Selsey team, you will be responsible for managing the organisation’s financial operations, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, preparation of financial statements and reports, and advisement of the senior management team on financial decisions.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Develop and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to the company’s managers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of the company’s financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
- Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including management accountant and accounts assistants.
- Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
- Coordinating year- end audit and tax requirements.
- Oversight of internal controls procedures.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities. ·Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
- Analysing and reporting on financial performance.
- Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
- Analysing complex financial data.
- The post-holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required and all employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall goals of Dometic.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within finance – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Recognised accounting qualification - AAT, CIMA or ACCA.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment – required.
- Several years of experience in a business or finance environment.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
