Magic’s mission is to build safe AGI that accelerates humanity’s progress on the world’s most important problems. About the role:
As a Technical Recruiter at Magic, you’ll be at the forefront of building the team that builds AGI. You’ll partner closely with our executives and technical teams to identify, engage, attract and hire exceptional technical talent across AI research, and engineering. You’ll own candidates throughout the entire process and ensure Magic attracts and closes the brightest minds in industry.
What You Might Work On:
- Partner with executives and engineering leadership to understand current and future hiring needs across the entire company.
- Partner with our sourcing team to design and execute strategic sourcing plans that map global talent markets, drive top-of-funnel activity, and cultivate long-term relationships with exceptional candidates.
- Own the candidate journey from sourcing handoff through offer stage, ensuring a high touch and excellent experience.
- Provide market intelligence, funnel metrics, and competitive insights to inform hiring plans and influence decisions.
What We’Re Looking For:
- Strong technical fluency: you’ve either worked in a technical role yourself or can confidently assess technical talent. Some of our team used to be engineers and we code solutions when needed
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and ideally large language models. We read all the latest research papers and attend the top AI-conferences on behalf of Magic
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tell Magic’s story in an inspiring way
- Proven ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
- Previous experience recruiting for AI, ML, and niche technical roles
- Network within the AI or ML community
