What you will be doing
We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Brand Manager to be the driving force behind the growth of our Prescription Diet and Vet Essentials brands across the Nordic Veterinary Channel. In this pivotal role, you will act as the expert in brand strategy and execution for one of our most critical channels, ensuring Hill's maintains a differentiated and strong image among pet owners and key veterinary influencers. You will lead marketing plans, campaigns, and execution of plans to support Hill’s brands to grow Share of Market (SOM) in the Therapeutic Segment.
As the Brand Manager, you will take full ownership of the brand's performance and marketing strategy in the Nordic market:
1. Strategic Marketing & Planning
- Develop and Lead the annual marketing plans and go-to-market strategies for the Prescription Diet and Vet Essentials portfolios, ensuring alignment with overall regional business goals.
- Conduct detailed market, consumer, and veterinary insight analysis to develop and recommend actionable marketing initiatives across all relevant channels.
- Full responsibility for the Advertising & Promotional (A&P) budget, including monthly control, reporting, and reallocation to maximize ROI.
- Analyze market pricing dynamics and provide strategic recommendations to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
2. Execution & Market Impact
- Lead the end-to-end launch of New Products in the Nordic countries, ensuring executional excellence and speed to market.
- Design and oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns (IMCs) aimed at acquiring and converting pet owners to Hill’s brands.
- Co-lead the commercial monthly reviews with cross-functional partners, providing data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations to the management team.
- Own the monthly Demand Planning process for your brands, providing critical input to the Supply Chain team.
3. Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as the central point of contact and effectively align with key internal stakeholders, including Regional Marketing, Professional Veterinary Affairs (PVA), Commercial Development (CD), and Supply Chain teams, to ensure seamless execution.
- Lead the brand category portfolio management process using analytical tools to drive clear decision-making.
What you will bring to the team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing with at least 3 years of experience in brand management
- Exceptional Analytical Skills with a deep understanding of market data, consumer studies, and promo profitability evaluation (e.g., P&L analysis)
- Strong competency in driving new product launches and coordinating complex IMC executions
- You are an action-oriented strategic thinker who can deliver complex reports and insights and build effective partnerships
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience in the animal health industry or experience with pet clinics and veterinary associations would be an advantage
