Our national Investment & Capital Transaction team manages a major portfolio of commercial and retail assets. To drive our strategy and ensure our data is best-in-class, we are seeking an analytical and proactive Senior Investment Analyst to join our team in Sydney.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is your opportunity to provide critical analytical, research, and reporting support for a portfolio that includes eight commercial office buildings and six retail shopping centres. You will be responsible for valuations, the strategic evaluation of new leases, and asset-specific analysis. A key part of this role is to continually improve our analysis, metrics, and reporting requirements to support our national team.
What You’Ll Do
- Lead the coordination and review of all external valuations for the portfolio.
- Undertake detailed financial analysis, including lease analysis for approval papers, budgeting, and cashflow/capex forecasts.
- Support key reporting deliverables for Investor Relations, the CEO, and senior management, and assist with implementing new reporting initiatives.
- Provide in-depth research on the Australian economy and property market, tracking sales transactions and preparing our 'House view' market outlook.
- Ensure all databases are accurate and reconciled to source data such as leases and tenancy schedules.
What You’Ll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, Commerce, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' professional experience demonstrating a strong knowledge of the property investment market and valuation methodologies.
- Valuation experience and/or professional experience in the retail property market would be a significant advantage.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a confident, self-motivated attitude.
- A team-oriented focus with the ability to build effective relationships with senior management, valuers and agents.
