Business Intelligence Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• BI Solution Development & Optimization (40%) Design and implement scalable dashboards, reports, and analytics using automation and storytelling to enhance business thinking. Standardize and streamline reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve data accessibility.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering (30%) Collaborate with business units to collect requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and support strategic initiatives through effective reporting and data modeling.
• Platform Stability & Governance (15%) Ensure BI environments, reports, and data models are stable, secure, and well-documented. Lead incident resolution, enforce governance, and drive continuous improvement in performance and reliability.
• Quality Assurance & Change Management (10%) Promote adherence to QA and change management standards. Define metrics, evaluate solutions, and mentor teams to uphold system integrity and minimize implementation risk.
• Project Leadership (5%) Manage cross-functional BI projects, coordinate resources, and provide status updates to stakeholders. Act as lead data modeler on complex initiatives.

Basic Quialifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Broad knowledge in visualization techniques, Knowledge in visual story telling with data, designing highly automated descriptive analytics/reporting solutions, building, integrating and managing databases, creating data models, especially within the PowerBI stack, understanding of business needs and processes.
• Knowledge of PowerB, Excel, SSRS and Tableau, SharePoint, PowerApps, MSFlow, SQL and/or SAS
• Knowledge in effective and compelling communication to technical and non-technical departments

Preferred:

• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Experience – Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the fields of insurance, analytics and reporting
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational boundaries.
• Profound in analyzing data and make strong recommendations based on findings.
• Profound in prioritizing tasks with shifting deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Profound in working independently with little guidance while still meeting objectives
