Position Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for playing a critical role in translating complex business needs into smart, scalable technology solutions, while leveraging AI, automation and modern data tools to drive better outcomes, faster.
Key Accountabilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for system changes and enhancements.
- Translate business problems into structured, scalable solutions that align with modern architecture, including cloud-native platforms and AI-driven capabilities.
- Use data analysis and modelling techniques to support root cause investigations, opportunity identification, and performance optimization.
- Drive process improvements by recommending areas for automation, standardization, or the application of AI and machine learning tools to streamline actuarial and reinsurance workflows.
- Contribute to solution design and testing phases, ensuring end-to-end alignment of user needs, technical implementation, and business objectives.
- Support UAT, defect resolution, and deployment readiness activities—working across DevOps, QA, and stakeholder teams.
- Build and maintain process flow diagrams, requirement traceability matrices, and knowledge documentation using modern tools.
- Begin developing subject matter expertise in treaty onboarding, actuarial modeling, and reinsurance workflows, contributing to long-term capability growth.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Undergraduate Degree in business, actuarial science, computer science, finance, or a related field; equivalent experience also considered is required.
- 2–5 years of experience in business or systems analysis, ideally in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to gather, structure, and communicate business requirements effectively.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools including SQL, Excel, and at least one BI/reporting tool (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to or interest in applying AI/ML tools, natural language processing, or metadata-driven automation to business problems.
- Familiarity with modern delivery practices (Agile, DevOps) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart).
- Strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
- Nice to have: Experience with AWS, GCP, or cloud-based data lakes; knowledge of reinsurance and actuarial systems.
Location: West Chester, PA (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office),
