Position Overview:


Join Freddie Mac’s EO&T division as an Engineering Technical Lead for Campus/Cloud & Data Center Networking. Lead enterprise change through engineering, working with the latest technologies and supporting critical business applications.

Our Impact:

  • Establish Infrastructure as Code for Voice, WAN, Campus, and Cloud/Data Center networks.
  • Design and deploy next-gen data center networking (routing, switching, firewall, load balancers, DNS).
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards in collaboration with Architecture and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain solution designs for Cloud/Data Center Network technologies.

Your Impact:

  • Lead design and documentation of network infrastructure (Campus, Voice, Cloud/Data Center).
  • Support deployment and transition of network technologies.
  • Configure routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, VPN, VxLAN, Spine-Leaf, etc.).
  • Automate network tasks using Ansible/Python.
  • Collaborate across teams to meet networking needs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
  • Participate in capacity planning, security, disaster recovery, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and suggest new solutions/technologies.
  • Support deployment activities and incident resolution.
  • Document standards and assist architecture team with reusable designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years in IT Network Engineering/Security/Operations.
  • Experience with data center routing/switching, load balancers, firewalls.
  • Skilled in automation (Ansible, Python).
  • Proficient with major vendors (Arista, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, AWS VPC).
  • Strong knowledge of voice, routing, switching protocols.
  • Experience with monitoring/management tools.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $145,000 - $217,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
