About The Position:

Building networks is your hobby, but you can switch easily in a mindset to an enterprise environment where uptime, performance, and security are critical to serving our consumers optimally. You like to script and program for fun but can apply these skills to your job as well. You are an energetic engineer who is creative and has a can-do mentality. You are a team player, collaboration, and sharing knowledge is a natural behavior.

You will join an international team that is responsible for developing, rolling out and supporting LAN & WIFI access networks, which is a global standard. You will participate in agile work processes such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning. Together with the Product Owner, the team (Squad) works on common goals and a shared backlog. We use video and collaboration tools to facilitate the communication process.

About The Department:

The LAN WIFI Squad is responsible for delivering high-speed low latency networks on ING locations.
The position is a DevOps role which means you are developing, implementing and managing new and existing infrastructure. The latest technique in orchestrating infrastructure is used, interest and preferably experience with automation and network development is required.

You can move all user typical user stories and tasks from "To-Do" to "Done."

Responsibilities :

  • Implementation of desired structural infrastructure solution
  • Create and improve documentation and work instructions on the delivered infrastructure solution
  • Work with orchestration platforms as Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps Automation.
  • Conduct automated testing of IT infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
  • The technology of interfacing squads and consumers to achieve an end-to-end view
  • Impact of different factors on the performance and capacity of services different elements on the performance and capacity of services
  • Implement, configure, and modify network infrastructure as needed.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Leverage open-source tooling for network management, where applicable.
  • Assess and challenge network designs, focusing on technical implementation and security considerations.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.

Qualifications And Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a network engineer or similar function.
  • Experience and preferable one or more certifications on:
  • HPE Aruba Networking (ACP/ACX)"
  • Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Azure DevOps
  • HPE Aruba Networking (ACP/ACX)"
  • Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of DevOps way of working (e.g., continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)
  • Understanding of the Scrum methodology (e.g., backlog and spring planning, review and marketplace)
  • Certifications or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
  • Certifications or proven proficiency in Networking and Security

Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000
