Office
Lisbon, Portugal
Full Time
BrainRocket is a global company creating end-to-end tech products for clients across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing. Young, ambitious, and unstoppable, we've already taken Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Poland, and Serbia by storm. Our BRO team consists of 1,300 bright minds creating innovative ideas and products. We don’t follow formats. We shape them. We build what works, launch it fast, and make sure it hits.
⚡ We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our team in Lisbon and take ownership of large-scale and complex product initiatives. You will be the driving force connecting business objectives to development execution, ensuring that every feature, improvement, and release delivers real value to our users and aligns with the company’s vision.
🎯 Your Mission:
As a Product Owner, your mission is to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to maximize value delivery. You will translate business goals into clear, actionable requirements, guide the development team through well-defined sprints, and maintain transparent communication between stakeholders and engineers. You will be deeply involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and requirement gathering to release validation and continuous improvement.
✅ Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the Product Backlog, formulating backlog items and prioritizing them according to critical business objectives.
• Define Sprint Objectives, establishing suggested sprint goals that guide the team’s focus and serve as the foundation for sprint planning.
• Review and approve the work delivered by the development team, inspecting product increments at each iteration, from design preparation to production release validation.
• Act as the main communication bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear, concise, and consistent information flow to gain stakeholder approval for major decisions and strategies.
• Lead Backlog Refinement sessions, prioritizing, enhancing, and finalizing items in collaboration with the team before sprint planning.
• Create and maintain Change Requests associated with the product, gathering and prioritizing operational changes and adding them to the backlog for future iterations.
• Define Acceptance Criteria for each feature, ensuring the product meets expected standards. All criteria must be confirmed with stakeholders and serve as a baseline for QA validation.
• Gather Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, ensuring they align with the Product Manager’s expectations and business goals.
• Maintain and verify requirements throughout the project lifecycle, updating documentation at the appropriate level (Epic, Story) whenever adjustments occur.
• Create and maintain Epics, Stories, Use Cases, and Edge Cases, guaranteeing their quality and completeness, even when drafted by other teams.
• Participate in OKR planning, collaborating closely with stakeholders to define quarterly objectives and estimate their achievement.
✅ Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role (Business Analyst, System Analyst, QA Analyst).
• Proven experience working on large-scale and complex projects, involving backend and frontend development, beyond UX or UI.
• Strong knowledge of requirements lifecycle, backlog management, and Agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of API integrations and product architecture.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills in English, with the ability to align business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, capable of solving complex problems and driving outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration, influencing without authority, and maintaining alignment across stakeholders.
• Professional certification (PSPO Level I or similar) is a plus, but not mandatory.
