Position Summary

The IT Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of Biomason’s global technology environment. This position oversees all aspects of IT operations—including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and digital collaboration tools—across both U.S. and Denmark locations. As a strategic and hands-on leader, the IT Manager will drive innovation in support of Biomason’s mission to revolutionize construction through biotechnology. The role involves managing IT staff and vendors, leading technology initiatives, and ensuring compliance, reliability, and business continuity across all functional areas,including R&D, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations, including system administration, helpdesk support, infrastructure,and cybersecurity
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals and ensure reliability and scalability
  • Develop and lead IT team, setting priorities, tracking performance, and fostering continuous improvement
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and hardware lifecycle management
  • Manage cybersecurity programs, audits, and compliance with data privacy and security standards
  • Support enterprise systems such as ERP, databases, and automation tools in the US and Denmark
  • Identify and implement technology solutions that improve processes and data integrity
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships, budgets, and technology procurement
  • Maintain IT documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in IT management or systems administration, including supervisory roles
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity
  • Experience with ERP systems, business applications, and systems integration
  • Familiarity with IT compliance, data privacy, and business continuity
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft or AWS are a plus
