Your Opportunity
As Commercial Finance Manager you will be accountable for providing strategic financial performance analysis and business partner support to the Commercial Team (Sales Leadership, Customer Marketing, Revenue Growth Management). You will be a member of the Business Unit leadership team and be a key partner to the Business Unit Leader, helping to drive a culture of performance and strong governance.
You will be an integral member of the Finance team within the West Cluster.
You will be the Commercial Finance lead for the BeNeLux business – supported by 1 direct report (based in Belgium).
The role is based in Rotterdam, with a large percentage of time interacting with the local teams as well as Regional Finance. You will be expected to understand the business from the bottom up, so time in the trade with the sales team is critical to success. Some travel will be required – especially to Brussels.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely analysis on top line (Sales and pricing) and Gross Profit performance, promotional activity analysis / ROI and customer/Country/Business Unit Profit & Loss (P&L)
- Support commercial teams with management/control of pricing, discounts, and trade spend opportunities and effectiveness incl. approvals of spend and rebate management
- Lead the financial budgeting and planning process for the commercial team, ensuring that pricing, discount and Trade spends are reflected accurately and are executed according to plan
- Identify, evaluate and communicate risks and opportunities to the business in a timely manner
- Continuously look to reduce complexity and simplify our processes across planning, reporting, performance measurement and including how we use our supporting systems and tools to drive greater focus on value added business partnering
- Ensure adequacy of controls across trade investment and strong stewardship and compliance. Ensure audits (internally and externally) are fully supported and action plans are being addressed (incl. SOX)
- Work closely with the regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP/Anaplan) team to address challenges and find optimisations in the use of the Anaplan system
- Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide expertise to Regional / Cluster Commercial Teams on all financial aspects of the Commercial plans
- Provide stewardship of the Financial Commercial strategy as executed within the Region / Cluster within your geography
- Provide execution and financial analysis of the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process
- Active participation in the Regional Commercial Finance network team

- Ensure all direct team members have a knowledge of Bacardi company history and culture
Skills
- Strong track record of performance and delivery within Finance in a Consumer goods company, with multiple years of delivery in a managerial role
- Proven ability to work seamlessly within a matrix organisation
- Solid experience of managing a P+L, forecasting, ROI calculations, risk management, Price structures and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with ambiguity, able to take complex ideas and summarise into concise
- insights and recommendations
- Effective communication skills, able to influence comfortably with senior leaders and motivate change
- Process focused with an understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impacts
- Ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve
- Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
- Proven ability to coach and develop winning teams
- Advanced expertise in MS Office including Excel and Power BI (Pivots, Vlookup, Conditional Functions, etc.), data collection and analytics
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
- Proficiency in English language
The Following Experiences Are Preferred:
- Experience in the Spirits Industry is an advantage
- Experience in additional functions beyond the ones listed above
- BA in Finance, Accounting, Business (or equivalent)
- Accounting qualification such as ACA, CA or CIMA
