About The Role

The Senior Business Analyst (Snr BA) in the Front Office Stream of the Trade Lifecycle Project will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and management of trading activities related to commodities products and asset classes. The primary focus of this role involves analyzing and optimizing pre-trade processes, designing user-friendly screens, developing deal masks, and managing event flows related to commodities and their derivatives.

• Role Type: 12 months Fixed term
• Role Location: L2C/833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC3008
• Work Hours: Full time, 40 Hours/week

What Will Your Day Look Like?

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will: 

• Pre-Trade Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of pre-trade activities, including market assessments, trend evaluations, and risk considerations to aid decision-making processes.
• Screen Design: Develop and design intuitive and efficient screens that facilitate smooth user interactions and streamline trading operations.
• Deal Mask Development: Create and refine deal masks to capture essential trade details and ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing.
• Event Management: Oversee and manage trade-related events, ensuring seamless integration and timely execution throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Commodities and Derivatives: Provide expertise in commodities and related derivatives, ensuring all processes align with industry standards and best practices.
• Trade Types: Understand and apply knowledge of various trade types, ensuring processes support diverse trading strategies and objectives.
• Trade Interface and Integration: Understand and implement mappings between external trade booking and clearing platforms and ANZ in house systems for straight through processing

What Will You Bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Commodities Product Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in commodities products, including metals, energy, agricultural products, and more.
• Asset Class Competence: Proven experience and understanding of asset classes related to commodities, including physical and financial derivatives.
• Front Office Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of front office trading activities, pre-trade analysis, and related workflows.
• Screen Design and User Experience: Ability to design and implement user-friendly screens that enhance trader efficiency and engagement.
• Deal Mask Expertise: Proficiency in developing deal masks that capture critical trade information and facilitate smooth transaction processing.
• Event Flow Management: Experience in managing trade events, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all stages in the trade lifecycle.
• Trade Type Knowledge: Understanding of various trade types and associated processes, supporting diverse trading strategies and business objectives.
• Integration Expertise: Lead initiatives across multiple teams with the aim of providing product and life-cycle based integration across trade capture and management systems at ANZ
