Technical Support Specialist L1 – Intrusion Security Products (EMEA/APAC)

What you will do

Within the EMEA/APAC region, we manage seven premier intrusion brands that specialize in advanced security sensors and wireless systems designed for professional installation in residential and light commercial environments. Leveraging cutting-edge wireless technologies, our solutions reduce installation time and cost while delivering the reliability and performance expected from top-tier security products.

As a Technical Support Technician, you will provide expert-level telephone and Email support for our full range of intrusion products. You will also assist with internal and external training, product evaluations, occasional site visits, and other initiatives that support both our customers and internal teams. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely or from a JCI office and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

How you will do it

  • Handle 30–40 customer support calls daily, delivering professional, timely, and effective resolutions within SLA targets.
  • Provide technical assistance across both hardware and software platforms for the full Johnson Controls intrusion product suite.
  • Conduct detailed product evaluations and deliver feedback to customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and demonstrate a multi-interface approach to problem-solving.

What we look for (Required)

  • Strong technical background; Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency with IT systems and communication tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build resilient, professional relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Quick learner with strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST, supporting multiple global markets.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and Linux systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Hindi.
  • Experience in the electronic security or communications industry.
  • Familiarity with electronic security systems and basic electrical concepts.
