A&M Architects is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor & Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a key operational role that combines cost management expertise with procurement execution, supporting the delivery of landmark projects in residential, workplace, and hospitality sectors.

As part of A&M’s integrated design and construction structure, you will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and the construction team to ensure each project is delivered with cost control, clarity, and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management

  • Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) across multiple project typologies (residential, hospitality, workplace fit-outs), ensuring accuracy, traceability, and alignment with design intent.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost breakdowns at different design stages (concept, tender, construction).
  • Assist in preparing tender packages and analyzing contractor and subcontractor offers.
  • Support the project team in evaluating change orders and variations, ensuring proper documentation and cost control.
  • Monitor and update project cost data to provide real-time visibility into budget performance.
  • Contribute to value engineering exercises and cost optimization strategies in coordination with the design and project management teams.


Procurement & Contract Support

  • Actively participate in the procurement process for construction and fit-out projects.
  • Source and compare offers from subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules for small and large scale projects.
  • Support the ordering and logistics process for materials once a project is assigned to A&M’s construction team, ensuring timely procurement in line with site schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to confirm scope, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms as per agreed contracts.
  • Track procurement milestones and assist in ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, supplier lists, and cost databases to support financial reporting and future project benchmarking.

Project Collaboration

  • Work closely with A&M’s design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure cost and procurement strategies align with project goals.
  • Contribute to clear communication between internal teams and external partners (clients, subcontractors, suppliers).
  • Support the Project Manager and Senior QS in reporting, documentation, and administrative coordination.
  • Participate in periodic site visits and meetings to track procurement progress and support implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, procurement, or a related role.
  • Solid understanding of cost planning, procurement processes, and contract administration in construction and fit-out projects.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and other cost management tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Greek is a plus.
  • A proactive and solution-driven mindset.
