We’re currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily operations at our Fargo, ND facility - This is an exciting opportunity to manage a state-of-the-art operation in a growing community known for its exceptional quality of life and vibrant manufacturing sector.

Summary

The Plant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our commercial printing and mailing facility, ensuring that production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role manages all aspects of plant performance, from scheduling, staffing, and maintenance to safety, workflow, and process optimization.

You’ll lead a talented team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll drive operational excellence, cost control, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that every print and mail project meets our high standards for quality and timeliness.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee production schedules and quality standards to ensure efficient operations, minimal downtime, and on-time delivery.
  • Direct and coordinate daily activities across all departments within the plant.
  • Manage and maintain facility equipment, building systems, and grounds to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to reduce waste, optimize labor costs, and improve efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee inventory control, supply management, and equipment part availability.
  • Evaluate department performance, providing guidance, accountability, and coaching.
  • Recruit, train, and lead employees, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to strengthen team performance and morale.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve personnel issues in a professional, timely manner.
  • Recommend capital improvements and operational investments to senior management.
  • Model professionalism, reliability, and commitment to the operation through consistent attendance and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing operations in a commercial printing or related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of printing and mailing processes, equipment, scheduling, and quality control standards preferred.
  • Experience with cost control, budgeting, and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking, process development, communication, delegation, and planning.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and agile in adapting to evolving business priorities.

Expected compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, typically between $80,000 and $120,000/year. Bonus plan incentive may be available.
