Role Summary:

The primary functions of this role are:

  • Enhance risk models and policies, create recommendations, lead the development and implementation of projects.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and members.
  • Ensure up-to-date understanding of legislation and compliance requirements and external standards.
  • Implement applicable policies, procedures, controls and ensures adherence within own team.
  • Manage the performance and development of Risk Analysts and/or Senior Analysts, where applicable.

What You'Ll Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of EUR/GBP/USD investment strategies, ensuring optimal deployment of margin and default funds within approved limits and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and refine investment, liquidity, and hedging strategies in alignment with market conditions and risk appetite.
  • Act as a senior contributor to first-line risk management, ensuring adherence to the Risk Governance Framework.
  • Oversee and challenge risk identification and escalation processes related to cash and collateral portfolios.
  • Drive enhancements in Front Office systems and processes, leading testing and implementation of efficiency solutions.
  • Provide input into proposals for expanding the investment universe and eligible margin collateral.
  • Lead incident and event management processes, ensuring timely resolution and robust documentation.
  • Contribute to senior management and Board-level reporting, including commentary on market developments and investment performance.
  • Collect and analyse data to ensure informed decisions.
  • Act as deputy lead in default scenarios, supporting the liquidation of collateral and liquidity management.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Treasury Operations to strengthen default management frameworks and counterparty risk mitigation.
  • Perform advanced portfolio and liquidity analysis, identifying investment opportunities and risk exposures.
  • Lead production of monthly performance packs, critical metrics, and trend analysis.
  • Mentor junior team members in analytical problem-solving and market practices.
  • Internal and External Representation
  • Contribute to senior management and Board-level reporting, including commentary on market developments and investment performance.
  • Collect and analyse data to ensure informed decisions.

Default Management

Technical/Analytical

  • Represent CaLM in regulatory discussions and external audits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment counterparties, custodians, and ICSDs.
  • Support onboarding and legal negotiation processes for new counterparties.
  • Contribute to committee papers and Board reporting, including MI and governance documentation.

Project Management

  • Lead medium-scale change initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope and budget.
  • Partner with IT and Risk teams to evolve CaLM systems and cybersecurity resilience.
  • Support implementation of new investment products and Front Office tools.

Experience And Skills

  • Proven experience in risk, portfolio management and trading within a bank or asset manager.
  • Amf Certification Required.

  • Strong product knowledge in Fixed Income, Money Markets, and Repo.
  • Advanced VBA and Python skills.
  • Excellent communication and interested party management abilities.
  • Experience with systems such as Calypso, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, FXALL, MTS.

What You'Ll Bring:

  • 4+ years working in relevant portfolio management roles.
  • Knowledge of industry processes, investment products and applications.
  • Ability to work well within a team in multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French. Proficiency in English is a requirement.
  • A questioning mentality and an ability to undertake a critical assessment of evidence.
