nCino is looking for a Product Marketing Manager focused on our Mortgage Solution line to join our team. As a member of the product marketing team, you will be a leader in the marketing of industry-leading mortgage lending technology to financial institutions globally. This role is critical in helping to shape the direction of product marketing strategy for our mortgage line of business, team development, and key corporate initiatives across multiple countries.

This position involves owning the mortgage segment of the nCino platform to ensure a cohesive and innovative strategy. You will work closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams and be responsible for driving the strategy, messaging, market research, and positioning for our mortgage lending solutions. You will focus on driving continuous improvement to Product Marketing processes and tools.

The ideal candidate has experience in Product Marketing for a B2B SaaS company, has mortgage lending/industry experience, and is looking to transform the mortgage industry and grow their Marketing career at a fast-paced, public technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the nCino Mortgage Products and the end-to-end mortgage lending lifecycle to be an expert on product-market fit and overall differentiation in the mortgage technology space
  • Align with and drive success in exceeding nCino's annual revenue goals for mortgage solution line and be responsible for maintaining Product Marketing's KPIs
  • Channel the voice of the mortgage customer—understand the pain points and aspirations of mortgage lenders, loan officers, processors, underwriters, and secondary market professionals, ultimately translating this into actionable content and output that drives revenue generation
  • Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research focused on mortgage lending trends, regulatory changes, and borrower expectations to support the marketing organization, product strategy, and the nCino business at large
  • Work with Product Management to inform the multi-year roadmap for nCino's mortgage solution line, incorporating industry trends such as digital mortgage adoption, automated underwriting, and regulatory compliance
  • Cultivate relationships with the nCino sales, marketing, and product development teams to evaluate product-market fit for mortgage lenders, help drive mortgage marketing strategy, and deliver exceptional analyses of the mortgage lending market and proper segmentation (IMB, Credit Union, Enterprise, and C&R Banks)
  • Build messaging framework for mortgage solution themes, mapping out the key topics and problems mortgage lenders face including loan origination efficiency, compliance burden, borrower experience, and secondary market execution
  • Work with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing leadership to develop Go-To-Market plans for major mortgage product releases and prospect/customer outreach targeting mortgage banks, credit unions, and retail banks with mortgage operations
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure successful communication strategy and execution for mortgage product releases, including compliance with industry regulations and marketing best practices
  • Conduct competitor and market research specific to mortgage technology platforms, identify trends in the mortgage lending space, differentiators, and areas of opportunity for nCino
  • Create market positioning for nCino mortgage products and solutions, messaging, and value props across different mortgage lending channels and geographical regions
  • Build a deep understanding of mortgage customers and the market by conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research on topics such as loan officer productivity, processing efficiency, compliance costs, and competitive analyses that inform strategic product and marketing decisions
  • Create, define, and own the content machine for mortgage solution messaging and positioning. Apply your expertise to all forms of collateral including but not limited to feature documents, slides, web content, POV documents, video scripts, FAQs, competitive intelligence specific to mortgage technology vendors, etc.
  • Work alongside Sales to increase conversion rates with mortgage lenders through continuous improvement of product messaging, demos showcasing the mortgage loan lifecycle, sales enablement focused on mortgage industry pain points, and competitive win/loss insights
  • Be able to proficiently demo the nCino Mortgage Point of Sale including origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing workflows so that you have the product knowledge to represent nCino at internal and external events, mortgage banking conferences, MBA events, tradeshows, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent combination of experience
  • Understanding of the mortgage lending process including origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and secondary market operations
  • 2+ years of experience in a Marketing role
  • 1+ years of experience in a Product Marketing role
  • Proven success as a coach and mentor of marketers
  • Demonstrated dedication to quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to motivate yourself and others, prioritize your own work, and adapt and thrive in a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to support qualitative and quantitative research from product strategy to campaign launch
  • Track record for collaborating in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven portfolio of developing and coordinating impactful Marketing collateral including (but not limited to) presentation slides, brochures, feature documents, point of view documentation, FAQs, lead generation scripts, personas, target market definition, ROI models focused on mortgage efficiency gains, landing pages, videos, and other relevant materials to be used by marketing, sales, and business development
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate mortgage market trends, regulatory changes, and sales opportunities
  • Strong aptitude for distilling complex mortgage technology differentiators and regulatory requirements into simple stories that resonate with mortgage lending customers
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of teams, gather input, synthesize feedback, and coordinate efforts across multiple areas of business
  • Proven track record of conducting market and competitive analyses specific to mortgage lending to inform corporate strategies and campaigns
  • Knowledgeable about or proven ability to learn quickly mortgage banking, housing finance, and mortgage technology trends and able to integrate that knowledge into our product and marketing strategy

Bonus Qualifications

  • Product Marketing experience for a Mortgage Technology or FinTech Company
  • Direct experience working in mortgage lending operations (loan origination, processing, underwriting, or closing)
  • Familiarity with mortgage industry standards (MISMO, URLA, GSE requirements)
  • Knowledge of mortgage compliance requirements (TRID, RESPA, HMDA, QM rules)
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  • 2+ years of experience working with Salesforce CRM or comparable system
  • 3+ years Marketing Experience in the Mortgage or Financial Services Industry
  • Relationships within the mortgage banking community (MBA, state mortgage banking associations) 

Position requires 10% travel (may include mortgage industry conferences and customer visits)

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:

$58,700.00 - $93,900.00
