Overview
The Treasury Manager is responsible for the company's daily cash management, liquidity, and financial risk mitigation. A key component of this role is serving as the primary administrator for all online bank portals. The manager will develop and maintain banking relationships, oversee cash flow, manage access controls for all bank accounts, and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of banking and treasury operations.

Responsibilities

Cash and Liquidity Management

  • Manage daily cash positioning and reporting, optimizing the use of cash to meet the organization's financial obligations.
  • Analyze cash flow forecasts to anticipate short-term funding needs and identify excess cash for potential investment.
  • Review, approve, and process electronic payments, including wire transfers, ACH transfers, and check runs, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage bank account analysis statements, negotiating with banks to optimize service fees and interest earnings.

Bank Portal Administration and Security

  • Act as the primary administrator for all online banking portals, managing user entitlements and ensuring appropriate access levels for all users.
  • Manage and improve usage of our ERP system for reporting, automation, and integration of treasury information.
  • Lead the opening and closing of bank accounts, managing all related documentation, and maintaining up-to-date records of authorized signatories and users.
  • Establish and enforce robust internal controls over all bank portal access and treasury activities in accordance with internal policies and SOX compliance.
  • Manage banking exceptions, including Positive Pay and ACH filters, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external audits related to bank portal controls and user access.

Banking Relationships and Special Projects

  • Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and other financial service providers.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Accounts Payable and Accounting, to ensure accurate financial reporting and streamlined processes.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of treasury management systems and technology.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests, research banking issues, and contribute to special projects as needed.

Education & Experience Required

  • Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred..
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate treasury or cash management, including hands-on experience as a bank portal administrator.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, online bank portals and treasury management systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Effective both independently and in teams under tight deadlines. 

Location: The preferred location for this role is either Durham, NC or Washington, DC. Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office schedule of three days per week.

Compensation: The salary range for the position is $100,000-$150,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
