Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a ServiceNow Architect - Senior Developer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions that support Vancity’s strategic goals. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow implementations. You’ll also provide technical leadership to development teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and establish governance frameworks that ensure long-term platform sustainability. We’re looking for a seasoned ServiceNow expert who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about delivering impactful digital solutions.
This is a full-time, permanent role that is completely remote, with a preference for candidates located in British Columbia, though we are also open to candidates based in Ontario. This role will report directly to the Manager, ServiceNow.
How You'Ll Make An Impact:
- Designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions that align with business goals and processes
- Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Determining scope and estimating work effort of development activities via Stories
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams
- Troubleshooting and resolving senior technical issues
- Establishing technical governance to optimize platform performance and minimize long-term technical risk
- Creating long-term roadmaps for ServiceNow platform evolution
- Developing and maintaining Scoped Applications
- Ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices and Vancity’s security standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow ecosystem
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and architecture
- Certified Master Architect designation
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, SAM, HRSD, ITSECOPS (VR & SIR)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other ServiceNow scripting languages
- Experience creating and maintaining Scoped Applications
- Strong experience working in Agile environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Experience with long-term platform governance and roadmap creation
- Familiarity with enterprise-level integration strategies
- Background in mentoring and coaching junior developers
- Strong experience in project planning and architectural + development work required

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $91,000 to $136,400 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
