Mechanical Engineer

Assala is on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for preparing all major activities relating to the maintenance plan for mechanical interventions. 

You will play a crucial role in preparing work packages for all major maintenance activities by identifying and providing resources, materials, service requirements and all critical documents and procedures for the work. Then confirm feasibility and the appropriate execution window, taking into account all operational constraints. 

Key Activities

• Assist in the preparation of complex shutdown activities 
• Prepare work packages for all major activities on the assigned asset; to ensure that the work is carried out safely, efficiently and in a timely manner, optimising production, reducing equipment downtime and crew turnover. Also ensure holiday cover for other active counterparts
• Maintain and prepare our Gas compressors / Gas turbines / Water injection pumps / Export pumps / Power generation / Major services. 
• Requests creation/verification of Workorders 
• Loads or checks the lists of Pdr required in the Workorders
• Coordinates planning with the other disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Business Support, Inspection, Static, Project) 
• On-site survey
• Point of mechanical opportunity works
• Carrying out inventories with the FCP/end-user department
• Drafting/updating all the documentation required for each job (task sheet, range, metrology sheet, tools required, etc.)
• Carrying out the REX at the end of each intervention Implementation of all REX findings
• Mobilizing FSRs/vendors
• Participating in the creation of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for new equipment (these BOMs must be created before the equipment is commissioned)

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas sector as a Mechanical engineer or related discipline
• Good knowledge of SAP PM & MM
• Experience in maintaining the following : Solar & Siemens turbines Solar & Nuovo Pignone centrifugal compressors Reciprocating compressors Ariel & Dresser CAT & Waukesha gas engines Single & multistage centrifugal pumps
