Purpose of the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Asset Manager to drive strategic asset maintenance across a high-profile retail portfolio. Reporting to the Account Manager and working closely with Compliance and Reporting teams, you will analyse asset data, manage change, and provide actionable recommendations to optimise asset performance and compliance.
This role is ideal for a highly organised, analytical professional who thrives in a high-volume, high-energy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can deliver tangible results with focus and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day asset changes, PPM schedule updates, and vendor contract variations.
- Conduct continuous audits to ensure statutory compliance and minimal downtime across the portfolio.
- Provide timely support to portfolio teams on critical spare management, asset maintenance, and compliance issues.
- Analyse data, produce written reports, and provide recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements and maintain high operational standards.
Key Objectives
- Maintain accurate asset data in our CMMS and deliver reporting on performance and trends
- Reduce critical asset downtime
- Review and optimise PPM schedules, vendor agreements, and asset-related documentation to align with client needs.
- Support portfolio compliance and sustainability targets by ensuring all maintainable assets meet statutory requirements.
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in asset management across infrastructure, retail, or facilities environments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience producing reports and recommendations.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements, OH&S, QA legislation, and maintenance standards in Australia.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
- Highly organised, able to manage high volumes of work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience managing portfolio assets to ISO5500 standards.
- Strong business acumen and operational financial knowledge.
- Additional certifications in Asset or Facilities Management, Process Engineering, or related disciplines.
Workplace Flexibility
This role is hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, based in either Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD, both close to public transport.
