Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Systems Automation Engineer to support one of our internal programs, in an effort to deliver secure and resilient systems. This role provides the opportunity to engineer an automation framework to deploy out a production environment to physical hardware through a DevSecOps pipeline. The role will involve automating networking, server hardware, operating systems, containers, virtualization and more to build a cohesive and integrated environment for cyber defenders.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Automate Linux, Vmware, Hardware, software into an integrated and easy to use environment for end users.
- Establish and maintain a DevSecOps pipeline through automation software
- Maintain documentation for administrators, users, and security.
- Develop and perform testing of new software/capabilities before deploying to production.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or systems security architecture.
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of Ansible to perform deployments across complex system architectures.
- 6+ years, using automation tools (Ansible, Python, Scripting, etc.)
- Working knowledge of network security, virtualization (VMware, Kubernetes, Containers), and system hardening practices.
- Ability to perform and lead software automation related tasks as appropriate, including hands on development.
- Experience with security automation tools such as Ansible, and Python.
- Experience with system/software version control and management.
- Experience with source control, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development methods (Git, GitHub Actions).
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- Experience building and maintaining container images as well as automation technologies for deployments such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Must have an active driver’s license and clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to travel within the United States < 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations.
- Experience supporting USCYBERCOM
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and SCAP/OpenSCAP compliance automation.
- Experience with DevOps pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Github or other tools
- Experience with physical server hardware deployments and troubleshooting
- Understanding of the function and operation of Defensive Cyber tools, including Splunk, Elastic, Zeek, Palo Alto, RedSeal, VMWare, and others
