Job Description

Vuori is building our Retail Operations team in China. We are currently seeking a Retail Operations Manager to join our collaborative team who will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our physical retail stores as we drive deeper into the Greater China market in the coming years. Reporting to the General Manager, China, this role will work cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders. What You'Ll Get To Do:

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee cross-functional new store openings across all of China 
• Improve operations quality and efficiency 
• Develop operations projects & tools 
• Optimize the internal communication 

Retail Network Expansion

• Oversee new store openings, relocations, remodels of existing stores, and pop-up projects 
• Create and refine the New Store Opening (NSO) procedure for Greater China expansion 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth store opening process 

Store Operations Optimization

• Create & update the SOP based on HQ & local requirements. Conduct relevant staff training across the retail fleet on global and local initiatives 
• Select and onboard relevant vendors and tools, review and define China retail operational processes and customer service protocols. Keep consistent with Vuori experience globally while empowering local teams, reflecting the highest standards of retail excellence 
• Leverage feedback from retail teams and insights from daily checks and on-site visits. Create communication cadence and processes with cross functional teams globally that address local retail needs 
• Manage store reimbursement system and ensure compliance  
• Manage the uniforms, staff discount programs and other related programs 
• Manage retail IT projects including POS system, inventory system etc. Identify areas for development and ensure highly efficient communication between vendors and internal stakeholders 
• Manage store supplies and maintenance  
• Help lead and develop a communications strategy that streamlines all corporate communication to stores 
• Ensure smooth and effective dialogue with stores to improve daily operations and share case studies of best practices 
• Develop and maintain a workload calendar that is accessible for all retail corporate partners to ensure store tasks are manageable for the field teams 

Qualifications

Who You Are:

• 7+ years' experience in corporate retail operations or store leadership. 
• Holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.  
• Obsessed with designing and implementing scalable processes to optimize store labor and operational efficiency, with a data driven mindset 
• Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and able to deal with ambiguity and overcome obstacles that may arise during projects. 
• High attention to detail; ability to juggle many priorities and manage execution. 
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive continual improvement, with proven ability to think strategically and determine the impact of decisions on store business. 
• Fluent in oral & written English and Mandarin 
• Flexibility to participate in calls outside regular business hours as needed to collaborate with global stakeholders. Some international or domestic travel. 
• Good team leader and team player with a caring and empathetic attitude.
