Data Assurance QA Analyst

Medibank is seeking a Data Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and integrity of data across our platforms, with a strong focus on ETL testing, stakeholder coordination, and AWS integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end coordination with stakeholders for business requirements, UAT, and deliverables.
• Develop, implement, and execute data assurance strategies across AWS, ETL, and reporting platforms.
• Perform data profiling, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources including Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, flat files, XML, and mainframe files.
• Conduct thorough database and ETL testing using complex SQL scripts.
• Analyse and convert business requirements into technical specifications and test plans.
• Manage defect triage meetings and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
• Support compliance with Medibank’s Test Strategy and Deployment/Release processes.

Skills & Experience:

Must-Have:

• 5+ years’ experience in system/integration and data migration testing.
• Strong expertise in ETL methodologies and data assurance practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EMR, RDS, S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in SQL and data mapping for complex data environments.
• Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with DataOps toolsets.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Desirable:

• AWS Solution Architecture experience.
• Exposure to SAS, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
