Our SEQ Facilities team have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Electrician to join our team at Qantas Drive, Airport. As an Electrician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to Queensland Rails Facilities and Heritage assets (houses, depots, stations, equipment rooms). In addition, there is opportunity for career advancement through approved technical training in the electrical discipline.

Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include

  • Regular installation, maintenance and repairing of electrical tasks – create and complete accurate notifications and records using our EAMS application.
  • Ensure that work carried out is in accordance with the relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervise our supporting work contractors, support other areas such as facilities trades in the delivery of multi trade works.
  • Proactively develop skills and knowledge required for the rail environment and associated with trade qualifications through on-the-job training courses.
  • Travel to different work locations working alone or as part of a team

Location And Benefits:

  • This is a Northside role
  • Permanent full time
  • 9-day fortnight schedule - you'll enjoy an extra day off every other week, providing you with extended weekends to recharge, pursue hobbies, spend time with family and friends, or simply unwind
  • Annual base salary ranges between $85,700 - $106,600 plus overtime, penalty rates and up to 12.75% superannuation.

About You

  •    Electrical Fitter/ Mechanic Licence
  •    Current Driver’s licence
  •    Substantial knowledge of electrical work in accordance with national and industry standards
  •    Able to work semi-autonomously and within a team environment
