Senior QA Automation Engineer (UI/UX – Django Application)

Who We'Re Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts for a Django-based web application in the legal tech and patent management space. This is a high-impact role where you’ll establish and execute the end-to-end UI/UX automation strategy for a platform that supports mission-critical workflows in intellectual property and legal domains.

You’ll be the go-to authority for QA automation—owning framework design, test strategy, and execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves solving complex automation challenges, and wants to help shape quality practices from the ground up.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own the UI/UX automation strategy for a Django web application
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for functional and end-to-end testing
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releases
• Partner with developers, designers, and PMs to identify test priorities and ensure quality across sprints
• Define, document, and enforce QA standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot automation issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure consistent stability
• Establish test coverage metrics and reporting for stakeholders
• Mentor developers and QA engineers in automation practices and tooling

Some Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, with a strong focus on UI/UX testing
• Proven success building automation frameworks from scratch (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
• Solid understanding of Django or other Python-based web frameworks
• Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and web frontends (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Excellent communication skills — must have strong English fluency (written and verbal)
• High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and commitment to quality

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
