This position is required to support both Bids and Projects activities to IBS Asia business lines . As a Project Buyer lead, he/she will be require to formulate an Acquisition Management Plan that provides the best sourcing strategies and cost effective solutions to best manage Spent to be within the procurement budget at project implementation phase. In addition to that, he/she has to ensure that project schedule, Suppliers’ deliveries and quality meets the project deliverables and its specification and application requirement.
Key Activities And Responsibilities
As a Sr. Product/Project Procurement Specialist, you are accountable for:
- To analyze the customers’ needs and context, then set the expectation to Family Buyers.
- To be part of Bid team to support the Bid Manager including Peer Review, CCR, Bid Plan etc,.
- To deliver Acquisition Management Plan and PSS according to Bid Plan and given dateline
- Owns, highlight and report, drive Industrialisation and Procurement deliverables and requirements for the Project.
- Work closely with FB in the securization of material to ensure that project milestones are maintained.
- Identify, Analyze, Match demands from Projects to internal and external constraints.
- Participate in the change management process; All design changes follows proper Configuration Management timely fashion and record and update these changes into the acquisition plan.
- Lead and coordinate all activities associated on make, team or buy decision within the Procurement Domain for all project end items’ deliverables.
- Manage risk, track and analyse budget gap to ensure that Equipment acquisition are within budget/EAC. Make timely and routine escalation to management as appropriate.
- Act as the interface between Procurement, Project Management, Engineering, Installation, T&C and Client on all acquisition matters.
Key Knowledge And Experience
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering or Bachelor of Science / Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in Immigration, Biometric Equipment and Cybersecurity environment
- Experience in project nature environment, preferably in low volume, high mix environment
- Good knowledge in supplier Tactical and strategic supplier management
- Strong leadership and able to drive cross-functional team
- Flexible and able to adapt to fast paced environment
Required to travel frequently
