Job Summary
As an integral part of the marketing discipline, Public Relations and Marketing Communications (PRMC) are strategic functions that encompass the actions we take to influence our external guests, internal guests, owners, company and community-at-large.
Under the leadership of the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, this role supports the PRMC Team by delivering on-brand messaging through compelling visuals and engaging content across all communication touchpoints, with the goal of strengthening The Ritz-Carlton brand and enhancing its mystique.
The Graphic Designer & Multimedia Content Creator is responsible for crafting elegant static marketing collateral as well as dynamic multimedia content that showcases the luxury experience synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton. Additionally, this role serves as a creative consultant to internal departments, providing innovative ideas while keeping in line with The Ritz-Carlton brand voice.
This role requires a strong foundation in graphic design combined with hands-on skills in photography and videography, particularly for digital marketing campaigns, enabling the creation of visually captivating storytelling across all platforms.
Candidate Profile
Education Or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Essential:
Experience And Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic design and multimedia content creation, preferably in luxury hospitality, high-end industries, or creative agencies servicing affluent brands.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and other video/photo editing software.
- Strong photography and videography skills, with demonstrated experience in shooting and editing content optimized for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Ability to lead creative direction and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional eye for aesthetics, attention to detail, and luxury brand sensibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with digital signage content creation.
- Knowledge of social media marketing trends and video storytelling techniques.
- Familiarity with camera equipment and lighting techniques.
- Understanding of printing processes and materials, including pre-press preparation, colour management, and production specifications for high-quality print collaterals.
Core Work Activities
- Design and produce high-quality graphics and layouts for digital (social media, website graphic, digital signage, email campaigns) and print (brochures, flyers, menus, in-room collateral) materials.
- Plan, capture, and edit engaging photo and video content for marketing campaigns, events, and social media platforms, including reels, stories, and posts.
- Lead the creative direction of campaign photography and videography, ensuring all visuals reflect the luxury positioning of the brand.
- Support marketing campaign by creating promotional materials and documenting hotel-led events through photography or videography.
- Collaborate closely with the team to develop creative concepts and storytelling ideas that align with the hotel’s brand identity and marketing goals.
- Ensure all creative materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency and quality across all channels and touchpoints.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and freelancers as needed for specialized shoots and post-production.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends and digital technologies to keep the brand’s visual presence fresh and innovative.
- Support brand partnerships and collaborations by designing co-branded materials and coordinating content production as needed.
- Ensure all visual content complies with copyright laws, licensing, and usage rights.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for broader marketing strategies, providing visual insights and creative input.
- Experiment with emerging content formats and platforms (e.g., AR filters, 360° videos) to innovate the brand’s digital presence.
