Location: Erda, UT

Responsibilities:

  • First-tier of support for office users and production needs, responding to general IT requests.
  • Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Primary support line for production line equipment (IT side).
  • Ensuring all systems are operational and backed up.
  • Document changes within the layout.
  • Excellent customer support orient.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs.
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment – an advantage.
  • Great communication skills, a team player.
  • Great troubleshooting skills.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and Windows OS’s; Linux – an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN topologies.
  • Ability to project management.
  • Knowledge of Backup software –Acronis/ Commvault or other backup software.
  • Basic knowledge of networking: Cisco switches and Fortigate firewalls.
