Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Namibian Citizenship
- Relevant degree inclusive of Investment/ Finance degree, CA, CFA
- 5+ Years’ experience managing money market portfolios with a proven track record.
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Excellent numerical skills
- Strong ownership and accountability skills
- Possess good planning & organizing skills
- Be able to generate innovative ideas and take initiative Be able to sell ideas confidently and gain commitment Ability to think analytically, laterally & systematically
Job Description:
- Performs investment research and providing relevant information.
- Develops investment and economic strategies based on investment philosophy and customer objectives.
- Analyses the market looks for opportunities and works with portfolio managers to develop new products and features in existing products to suit specific target markets.
- Monitors developments in security markets.
- Assists with report backs and provides performance feedback.
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
- Perform credit research and present credit risk exposures.
- Trade fund positions into an agreed investment strategy.
- Contribute to risk assessments of money market, bond, equity and multi asset class portfolios.
Responsibilities
Investment Management
Develop and amend investment models to provide input to senior colleagues and/or help manage assigned portfolios.
Insights And Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
Organizational Risk Management
Keep track of risk parameters, identifying any deviations and reporting them to more senior colleagues. Involves working within established risk management systems.
Sell Customer Propositions
Identify the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs, use personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations, explain the selection to the customer, and invite the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale.
Recommendations
Advise others on how to design new processes and systems that meet professional standards.
Improvement/Innovation
Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.
Internal Client Relationship Management
Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
Financial Management And Control
Track progress against budgets within established finance systems, and report variances to more senior colleagues.
Data Collection And Analysis
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Needs Assessment
Investigate questions relating to existing programs, processes, and procedures.
Data Management
Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
