Job Description

Standard Work Development:

  • Design, document, and implement standardized processes and procedures for supplier quality activities
  • Create clear, visual work instructions and process maps that ensure consistency across the organization
  • Continuously refine standard work based on feedback, metrics, and evolving business needs
  • Establish process documentation standards and version control systems

Daily Management System Implementation:

  • Develop and deploy daily management routines including tier meetings, visual management boards, and performance tracking
  • Create KPI dashboards and metrics that provide real-time visibility into supplier quality performance
  • Design escalation protocols and problem-solving workflows
  • Build cadence and accountability structures that drive continuous improvement

Tool & Training Material Creation:

  • Develop comprehensive training programs for supplier quality processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Create engaging learning materials including presentations, videos, job aids, and e-learning modules
  • Design assessment tools to verify competency and knowledge retention
  • Build toolkits and templates that enable team members to execute their roles effectively
  • Maintain a centralized repository of training materials and operational resources

Operational Support:

  • Serve as the go-to resource for questions about supplier quality processes and tools
  • Gather feedback from the SQ team to identify pain points and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes and eliminate redundancies
  • Support change management efforts as new processes and tools are introduced

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or operations roles
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing engineering roles within a factory environment
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a liaison between supplier quality and engineering functions
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing standard work and operational procedures
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar)
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools (5S, value stream mapping, kaizen)
  • Proficiency in creating training materials and process documentation

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience with visual management and daily management systems
  • Familiarity with quality tools (8D, FMEA, control plans, SPC)
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes (supplier audits, PPAP, corrective actions)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training platforms is a plus
