Summary Looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of automation engineering. Candidate should be familiar with Windows Server 2022, Server 2016, and Red Hat Linux 8.x, including configuring OS settings via automation. Candidate should be familiar with engineering practices and be capable of analyzing requirements and developing a supportable, well documented end product to meet customer needs. Candidate should have a strong background in troubleshooting methodologies and be open to learning new skills.Strong Background in automation engineeringAutomation development experience using VBScript, Bash, SQL, PowerShell, batch, HTAStrong process and engineering documentation skillsAbility to break down process and developer documentation in to logically automatable stepsAWS Experience a plusSymantec Altiris and GSS ExperienceWindows, Red Hat Linux admin experienceFamiliar with automating and troubleshooting DISA STIG implementationsSQL 2008 R2 and higher and/or other DBA experience a plus
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as third level support with strong troubleshooting skillsetProvides System Administration for systems, servers, appliances, communications devices and software for AMC’s C2 and Business Systems.Ensures systems, servers, appliances, communications devices and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are on-line and are available to customers.Provide Level 3 expertise for AMC’s C2 and Business systems.
QualificationsRequired CertificationsStrong SA experience with RHEL 7.x or greaterStrong BASH scripting skillsExperience with YUM and managing YUM repositoriesExperience with automation methodologiesExperience as 3rd level escalation pointAbility to adapt and contribute to standardization methodologiesCapable of designing, testing and delivering solutions to operational support for implementationWorking knowledge of systems administration processes and hardware and software componentsKnowledgeable of hardware and software capabilities and limitations supporting the functional systemDetail-oriented with proven analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to administer highly reliable systems solutions for delivering required business capabilitiesAbility to utilize available tools and resources to resolve issuesAbility to clearly and concisely communicate / explain technical information to a broad range of people with varying levels of technical expertiseIAT Level II or Greater
Education, Background, and Years of ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Management Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).9 Years experience in System Administration.
