Your Role

Hi, I am Olga and I am Global Tax & Financing Director here at WebPros and your future manager. 

Our team is seeking an Indirect Tax/ VAT Manager working in an international global organization and highly dynamic finance org. This position will be responsible for overseeing indirect tax matters related to planning opportunities, strategies, operations, compliance, controversy and policies. The person will assist with the identification of VAT/indirect tax risks and opportunities including advising on the indirect tax technical aspects of various international business initiatives.

A key element of the role is proactively promoting awareness and visibility of indirect tax matters across the Group, enhancing standard procedures, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Product teams in all jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business transactions and initiatives functioning as an in-house tax advisor on indirect tax matters
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws
  • Identifying and evaluating indirect tax/VAT opportunities and risks
  • Researching VAT and other indirect tax issues - working with outside advisers as necessary - as part of a global tax team
  • Communicating effectively and clearly to stakeholders and ensuring proper implementation
  • Dealing with day-to-day indirect tax issues arising within the business ranging from treatment of invoices to technical analysis of issues
  • Monitoring changes in tax law and evaluating impact to Group’s tax position
  • Coordinating with external tax advisors, auditors and regulatory authorities

Your Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in indirect tax in a multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written)

Your Impact In The First 120 Days

First 30 Days – Learn & Connect

  • Build relationships with Finance, Sales, Product, and Legal stakeholders.
  • Gain a full overview of current indirect tax and VAT processes across all entities.
  • Review existing compliance workflows, filings, and reporting structures.
  • Identify immediate risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted internal point of contact for indirect tax matters.

60 Days – Assess & Prioritize

  • Deep dive into VAT compliance, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Evaluate tools and systems used for VAT reporting and data accuracy.
  • Define short- and medium-term priorities with Finance leadership.
  • Begin drafting standardized VAT process maps and internal guidelines.
  • Deliver initial process improvements that show measurable efficiency gains.

90 Days – Implement & Elevate

  • Roll out consistent VAT procedures and guidance across jurisdictions.
  • Support regional teams in implementing new or improved tax processes.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and practical training for internal stakeholders.
  • Strengthen partnerships with external advisors and auditors.
  • Launch pilot automation or reporting enhancements for VAT monitoring.

120 Days – Optimize & Scale

  • Embed proactive monitoring for VAT law changes and compliance risks.
  • Develop key tax metrics and reporting dashboards for leadership visibility.
  • Integrate VAT considerations into new business initiatives and planning.
  • Establish a sustainable governance model for ongoing tax compliance.
  • Present progress, results, and the strategic roadmap for the next 6–12 months.
