The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the HR department, ensuring efficient operations while contributing to the organization’s overall success. This role involves a blend of administrative and operational tasks, including but not limited to recruitment, work comp, benefits administration, compliance, and performance. The HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring HR best practices are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, escalating complex issues to the HR Director as needed.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires receive necessary orientation, training, and resources for a successful start.
  • Administer and facilitate employee benefits enrollment and serve as a resource for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Monitor and track employee training programs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Support HR compliance by staying up to date with employment laws and assisting with policy implementation.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives, such as mental health programs and company benchmarking.
  • Assist in the performance management process, including tracking evaluations, supporting managers with documentation, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating communication between employees, managers, and insurance providers.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in HR processes and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.

Supervision:

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but collaborates closely with managers and employees at all levels of the organization.

Work Environment:

  • This position is required to be in the office five days a week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and experience working with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing HR challenges.
