Therapeutic Health Services (THS) is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Seattle. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations, including: onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, recruitment and maintaining employee records. This is an in-office role and requires travel on an as needed basis to THS service locations in King and Snohomish Counties. The pay for this position is $32.00 - $39.62 an hour.
Requirements
- Prepare new hire materials and coordinate onboarding processes, including orientation sessions
- Maintain and update the HRIS and employee files (digital and physical)
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments and troubleshooting
- Support recruitment efforts including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and developing retention strategies
- Conduct background checks and employment verifications
- Verify and track employee credentials, including professional licenses and certifications
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable laws, regulations and CARF accreditation standards
- Provide support for internal investigations and assist in preparing related documentation
- Contribute to the development and revision of HR policies and procedures
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff at all levels
- Facilitate or support HR-related trainings as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field plus 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Able to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
- Experience working in a nonprofit, health care or human services organization
- Familiarity with CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards
- Proficiency using Paylocity or other similar HRIS systems or databases
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
