Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)
Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
About The Role:
The Network Engineer will contribute to a team responsible for the day-to-day operation and monitoring of the Network and project delivery. The focus will be on design, implementation and support of the Business and IT Applications. They will assist in setup and maintenance of production network infrastructure; they will also contribute to the configuration of our Network devices.
In addition, there will be a specific focus on the Security review of our environment:
• firewall management and firewall rules review, implementation and cleanup,
• DNS services implementation and support,
• HLB and GSLB services implementation and support.
A transition to Software Defined network is ongoing and therefore the global security review will have to integrate this new parameter.
This position requires a broad knowledge of Network Security systems (Palo Alto, Checkpoint), Software Defined Network (CISCO ACI technology, EPG), DNS and GSLB (Infoblox), HLB (F5 Networks) among others. It also involves analytical skills and troubleshooting capability to work with the team members to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, configuring, and supporting network applicative Infrastructure (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Panorama, Infoblox, F5 etc.)
- Reviewing, implementing and enhancing our network environment
- Assisting with maintenance of current documentation of related corporate network implementation
- Taking part in troubleshooting network systems
- Providing network project support to other teams with the implementation of enterprise and operational service upgrades and new initiatives
- Taking part in Infrastructure and Business projects by delivering the required infrastructure (and related documentation)
- Performing vulnerability assessment, validation & upgrade on the Network Systems/Applications
- Maintaining process like Configuration Management and Monitoring of the infrastructure
- Optimizing our current network implementation and introducing automation services in our environment
- Integrating Watch-Duty role and supporting Week-End interventions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines (preferred)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience in Network Security Management Systems Palo Alto, Checkpoint
- Experience with the Prisma Access, Prisma Access for user
- Good knowledge with routing and switching technology (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPSEC,...)
- Excellent understanding TCP/IP protocols and related DNS (Infoblox), QoS
- Knowledge of Infoblox, F5, CISCO ISE technologies
- Experience in SDN / Cisco ACI / EPG management is a real asset
- Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Ability to develop in Python for network automation needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)
