Multiplatform Content Creator - Winter is Coming

Description

Winter is Coming, FanSided’s sci-fi and fantasy site, is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and energized entertainment fan to become a leading voice and face of the brand across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, podcasts, and web. This is not just a writing gig — it’s a chance to build your personal brand as a go-to sci-fi/fantasy personality for our international fanbase.

You’ll co-host a weekly podcast, create weekly short-form videos, write engaging fan-first content, and help bring Winter is Coming to life across multiple FanSided-owned platforms.

Requirements

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone eager to own the sci-fi/fantasy niche. As the Winter is Coming Multiplatform Creator, you will:

1. Podcast Hosting

• Co-host the Take the Black podcast alongside Winter is Coming editor 1x a week, including post-TV show live episodes
• On the podcast, you’ll share news and opinions about the sci-fi/fantasy genre
• On the podcast, you’ll bring bold energy to express yourself as part of the fandom and create a fun rapport with your co-host

1. Short-Form Video

• Create and share short-form videos on the Winter is Coming TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram accounts 3x a week
• In these videos, you’ll share news and opinions about the sci-fi/fantasy genre
• In these videos, you’ll bring bold energy to express yourself as part of the fandom
• In these videos, you’ll tap into trends, memes, and viral formats

1. Writing

• Write articles on Winter is Coming at least 1x a week
• These articles will cover popular TV shows, movies, and books within the sci-fi/fantasy genre
• These articles will be fan-driven, providing opinions and news from a fan perspective
• Promote written content across platforms and link back to the site when relevant

Who This is for

You might be perfect for this role if you:

• Are obsessed with popular sci-fi and fantasy media and love talking about it every day (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, Fallout, Dune, Stranger Things, etc.)
• Are comfortable on camera and know how to bring energy, humor, and fan passion
• Have a creator’s mindset — fast, agile, and eager to build something big
• Can create multiple videos per week with a consistent tone and clear POV
• Are familiar with (or eager to learn) basic podcast hosting and posting
• Want to grow your following and help build a personality-led entertainment media brand

Contract Details

• This is a paid independent contractor role
• Monthly compensation will be negotiated based on experience and projected content output
• There are no set hours beyond the podcast recordings
• Contractor will retain flexibility in how and when they produce content, within set expectations
• Success is measured by output and audience growth
