Why Ford?

Leading the way, the Ford Ranger continues its reign as the No. 1 Selling Vehicle in both Australia and New Zealand (for over 10 years in NZ), and our iconic Mustang proudly holds its position as the No. 1 Sports Car across both nations. About The Role

As the ANZ Finance lead for the Australian New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) and New Zealand Clean Car Standard (CCS), you will be pivotal in driving the comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, accounting, and strategic optimization of our business.

In this critical business partner role, you will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Sales Operations teams to accurately capture monthly actual impacts and develop robust future projections. You will be instrumental in producing insightful reporting, leading management reviews, and working with the broader operating team to identify and implement strategies that optimize outcomes across our vehicle lines, ultimately maximizing profitability and ensuring full NVES/CCS compliance.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule (four days in-office) and can be based at either our National Sales Company office in Richmond, Melbourne, Australia, or our National Sales Company office in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine detailed financial forecasts for NVES and CCS compliance, clearly articulating their impact on overall business profitability. Integrate sophisticated forecasting models, including scenario analysis, to identify financial risks and opportunities related to regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate extensively with Marketing and Sales Operations to leverage market intelligence, sales pipeline data, product launch plans, and promotional activities for accurate short and long-term financial projections.
  • Accurately analyse the monthly actual financial impact of compliance performance against forecasts, conducting in-depth variance analysis, investigating root causes, and providing clear, actionable insights to management. Quantify the actual financial impact of Volume and Mix on NVES and CCS targets each month.
  • Proactively partner with operating teams (e.g., Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, Business Strategy) to identify and drive initiatives aimed at optimizing compliance and profit outcomes. Develop and evaluate financial models for "what-if" scenarios related to Volume & Mix changes, assessing their impact on NVES and CCS. Identify opportunities to enhance the profitability of specific vehicle lines while ensuring strict compliance.
  • Act as the finance lead for Credit optimization strategy related to NVES/CCS.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations detailing NVES & CCS performance to senior management. Lead regular review sessions, effectively communicating key insights, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and proposing data-driven recommendations. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Volume and Mix strategies.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to Marketing, Sales Operations, and other relevant departments, providing financial expertise and guidance to support strategic decision-making and operational execution. Foster strong working relationships across the organization to facilitate data sharing and alignment on financial objectives.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or commercial finance roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Volume & Mix analysis, ideally within a high-volume, product-driven industry (e.g., automotive, consumer goods, manufacturing).
  • Proven track record of partnering with sales, marketing, or operations teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, PowerBi, Alteryx)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and a problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
