Tom Price and Paraburdoo Medical Centres are expanding our team and seeking enthusiastic Medical Administration Assistants. We welcome applicants with general administration or customer service experience, with no medical background required. Full training is provided; however, these roles would suit applicants already residing in Tom Price or Paraburdoo, as housing is not provided.

We have positions available in both of our clinics, located in Tom Price and Paraburdoo.

About The Role

As a Medical Administration Assistant, you will be the welcoming face of the clinic and play a key role in supporting our doctors, nurses and patients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong organisational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your Day May Include:

• Greeting patients and managing front-of-house enquiries
• Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic diary
• Answering phone calls and supporting patient enquiries
• General administrative duties such as data entry, scanning and filing
• Supporting clinicians with administrative needs
• Ensuring reception and waiting areas are tidy and organised

About You

We are looking for someone who displays maturity and integrity when dealing with confidential information, enjoys working with a diverse array of people and can stay calm and organised when something unexpected walks through the door. You do not need medical experience, as training will be provided.

You will succeed in this role if you have:

• Previous experience in administration, reception, or customer service (any industry)
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to patients
• The ability to multitask and prioritise competing tasks
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the team
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems
• A desire to grow, learn and also support our Junior administration team
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia

We care more about the right person and attitude than prior experience in a medical clinic.

The Tom Price Medical Centre (TPMC) is located in the heart of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. TPMC has two General Practice clinics at Tom Price and Paraburdoo and provides medical professionals to the Tom Price Hospital Emergency Department. We are a friendly, dynamic and patient-focused team that is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the highest level of patient care.
