As Production Controller - Taiwan you are the controlling business partner to Electronics production sites in Taiwan collaborating closely with site leadership to drive financial efficiency in manufacturing and foster an environment of continuous improvement on site.
Your Role
- You are the primary contact for site leadership on finance topics supporting and coaching the team on financials and finance KPIs. You guide the site through all financial steering and management processes and efficiently collaborate with our local finance and shared service organization who own and drive execution of transactional accounting and finance routines.
- You will play a key part in month-end closing, monitoring financial data, providing visibility of all related situations associated to manufacturing processes, product costing, controlling and analyzing variances and delivering value adding insights to site management. You will do this pro-actively and in line with financial requirements and corporate standards.
- You adopt and implement core digital solutions and tools providing insights into financial performance and focusing on operational leverage in a fast-moving environment.
- You partner closely with the site director to identify and implement initiatives enabling the site to achieve and outperform financial targets.
- You support the site in managing and implementing CAPEX initiatives to maintain our ongoing business or new capacity requirements and identify options ensuring agility in the site to manage changing volume requirements in manufacturing.
In this role you drive an efficient financial footprint in your supported production sites and foster culture of continuous improvement to drive long-term financial value.
- You shape the financial cost structure of our sites helping prepare it for future growth and/or fluctuations in volume demand in an efficient, sustainable setup.
- You enable our business leaders on site to take decisions with a strong focus on financial performance and evaluate and advise on key investment decisions supporting our long-term product portfolio and supply network strategy.
Summary Of Position
To be successful for this role you will be a qualified accountant preferably with financial analysis experience. You will have a strong aptitude for finding solutions to problems and suggesting new ways of working which will improve controllership insights, factory operations and accounting systems.
- Month End Close: Lead role in the month end process including monitoring for journal entries, account settlement, and account reconciliations, including support of inventory allowances, report and evaluate performance of various plant activities and ensure achievement of financial goals.
- Manufacturing Accounting: Review, maintain and release all standard cost of all plant products. Support manager on driving reporting enhancements & standardization. Evaluate all reports and maintain financial accuracy for all plant processes and analyze business trends to provide required explanations. Monitor plant activities and ensure compliance to all corporate standards. Provide support to finance digitalization team to implement all new systems. Determine and maintain all accounting principles and processes.
- Site Controlling: Maintain controls on plant processes and prepare reports to summarize activities. Pro-actively challenge assumptions to drive cost improvements across the factory. Active role in cost saving improvement projects through reviewing and validating proposed and actual savings. Provide visibility and forecasts around factory processes through analysis and reporting both on monthly actuals and forecasting process. Participation in business planning activities through preparing and coordinating the factory standard cost budget by developing forecasts including revisions and simulations. Drive, support and accelerate the factory management by being an integral part of the Local Leadership Team. Identify and develop site financial performance metrics to facilitate key performance indicators. Reconcile inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and participate in quarterly and annual financial audits.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, controlling, engineering, operations or similar.
- 5+ years of work experience in Controlling with a relevant background in Manufacturing/Production Controlling/Finance
- 5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing industry preferably with direct plant support. Operation controlling experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in communicating with different levels of hierarchies combined with excellent English skills.
- Strong in analytical thinking, financial problem solving with a high sense of urgency.
- Mindset on continuous improvement and driving financial efficiency in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Curious about future technologies & experienced in managing large datasets and related digital processes.
- SAP experience, specifically CO SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling.
- Strong IT skills, especially with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP system.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and Group accounting policies and practices, and application of such standards.
- Strong tactical and analytics skills
- Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
