Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. This position would encompass multiple sectors, including mining, oil and gas, and rail. The successful candidate will plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects, such as industrial solid waste landfills, wastewater collection and treatment systems and impoundments, environmental restoration projects, channels, levees, drainage systems, stormwater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, roads, and other civil/environmental aspects of infrastructure. Work will entail a mixture of engineering design, permitting, proposal and report writing, and construction-phase field engineering.

Role Accountabilities:
As a Civil Engineer, you will apply your technical knowledge to support a range of environmental projects. You will be responsible for the development and planning of hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design, as well as permit/construction-level drawings and details. You will also be responsible for preparing technical specifications and report writing for civil and environmental permitting. Therefore, you must have strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS), and an understanding of land development, erosion and sediment controls, road design (particularly Haul Roads and Forest Service Roads), river restoration, and stormwater permitting. This role also requires you to be familiar with government, client, and industry local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects in their respective field. You will be expected to interface directly with clients and contractors and manage all aspects of project delivery utilizing Arcadis resources.
This role will primarily be office based; however, as needed, you will need to conduct field assignments, including assisting in the field with construction and inspections. This role will require the ability to travel up to 25%.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer, and ability to obtain reciprocity in western states such as Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona.
- 7+ years of related experience
- Ability to work independently and to mentor junior staff
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting mining, utilities, or pipeline protection projects.
- Prior experience developing stormwater pollution prevention plans; erosion and sediment control plans; and spill protection control, and counter measure plans.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS)

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $86496 - $142718. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
