Your place in our story

We are seeking a detail-oriented Land Development Project Coordinator to support our team in managing projects from acquisition through registration and assumption. This role involves coordinating planning approvals, engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and technical reviews to ensure successful land development projects.

Here’s how you’ll contribute 

Planning & Coordination

  • Support project planning, engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly budget and schedule updates.
  • Assist with consultant and contractor selection and contract administration.
  • Manage application submissions and track project milestones.

Approvals & Entitlements

  • Prepare and coordinate development applications (zoning, subdivision, site plan, plan of condominiums).
  • Liaise with municipal staff and agencies to secure approvals and clearances.

Design & Technical Review

  • Develop and review AutoCAD drawings (site plans, servicing, utilities, landscaping, road design).
  • Review technical documents (planning, engineering, legal, financial) to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Validate site plans and building designs; recommend design and program improvements.

General Duties

  • Document meeting minutes and project processes.
  • Conduct property research and monitor municipal planning initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for council and public meetings; follow up on outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and conduct site visits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Civil Engineering/technologist, Land Use Planning, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of land development processes (asset)
  • AutoCAD (asset)
  • Contract administration (asset)
  • Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Team-oriented and detail-focused
