Pike IT is seeking a QA Manager to define and drive the overarching testing strategy across all IT initiatives. This role will ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and will lead efforts to integrate testing disciplines into delivery processes. The Testing Lead will collaborate closely with internal teams and an offshore testing partner to establish best practices, governance, and continuous improvement in testing.
Essential Functions:
Testing Strategy & Governance
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with Pike IT’s delivery objectives.
- Define testing standards, frameworks, and tools to ensure consistency across projects.
- Establish governance processes for test planning, execution, and reporting.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Implement and oversee functional testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing, security testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Drive adoption of automation testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Monitor and report on testing metrics, quality trends, and risk areas.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the testing team, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
- Manage relationships with offshore testing partners, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related matters across IT programs.
Integration Into Sdlc
- Embed testing practices into the SDLC to ensure early defect detection and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and delivery teams to align testing with design and build phases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing offshore testing teams and vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks (e.g., OATS, Selenium, AccelQ, Tricentis, Leapwork etc ).
- Familiarity with project management, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience using and validating test scripts. Experience using Zephyr
- Experience with enterprise-scale applications and integration testing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and embed quality practices across diverse teams.
Preferred Skills:
- QA certifications or relevant technical certifications.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
