Summary:
The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and delivering cloud-based solutions that meet project objectives and public sector compliance requirements. This role is outcome-driven, ensuring that architecture decisions directly support project timelines, scalability, and security. The Cloud Architect works closely with Seers and Client development and DevOps teams to translate prior experience in similar environments into technical solutions that enable justice and safety programs, driving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture:
- Develop scalable and resilient Azure-based solutions that align with business objectives and project delivery schedules.
- Document architectural designs and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Integration Strategy:
- Design and implement integration patterns that enable seamless communication between new and legacy systems.
- Establish robust APIs and data exchange mechanisms to support interoperability and data consistency.
- Security & Compliance:
- Apply public sector security frameworks and ensure all solutions meet government compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain up-to-date documentation to support audit and compliance reviews.
- Technical Leadership:
- Mentor and support development and DevOps teams with architectural guidance and best practices.
- Lead technical workshops and design sessions to align project teams with architectural standards.
- Outcome Assurance
- Continuously monitor solution performance to ensure targets for scalability, availability, and compliance are achieved.
- Validate that delivered solutions align with agreed KPIs and facilitate remediation where necessary.
- Innovation:
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance efficiency, security, or project delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by piloting innovative tools and methodologies.
- Required Skills & Experience:
Mandatory
- Deep expertise in Azure architecture and microservices.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance in government projects.
- Experience delivering architecture as part of Agile project teams.
- Proven ability to enforce governance and compliance in public sector projects.
Desirable
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Familiarity with case management and business process-heavy applications.
- Expertise in Bicep deployment development
- Full stack development background
- Key Performance Indicators:
- Utilisation target of 80% for direct roles
- KPI’s achievable for the role that follow SMART guidelines
- Complete assigned tasks/projects within agreed deadlines.
- Achieve less than 2% error rate in deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Complete mandatory training within set timelines.
