Job Description

Pay Range: $100k - $125k 

We are searching for a driven and dedicated Assistant Plant Manager to support the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation and continued growth of our Riverside, California facility. This experienced leader will play a key role in developing and implementing initiatives that elevate quality and productivity. As a representative of Sika Corporation, the Assistant Plant Manager will help bring our vision to life by fostering a culture of confidence, trust, and operational excellence within the manufacturing plant.

  • Achieve annual safety goals by applying strong safety management knowledge and enforcing safety rules across manufacturing.
  • Meet annual quality and delivery goals through understanding product quality requirements and applying problem-solving, error-proofing, and mentoring skills.
  • Map processes, identify non-value-added activities, and streamline production operations.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across production, materials management, logistics, maintenance, and quality.
  • Support capital planning, preventive maintenance, problem solving, and execution of the Sika Quality Management System to maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Develop a flexible organization able to respond quickly to changing customer demands and collaborate with R&D/Marketing on innovative new product development.
  • Communicate effectively and promote continuous improvement as a core manufacturing principle.
  • Manage and support annual expense and capital budgets, including delivering expected benefits.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and motivate professional staff and factory associates to ensure necessary skills, high performance, and a strong commitment to quality and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management.
  • Exceptional communication skills marked by sincerity, persuasiveness, and clear, logical thinking.
  • Proven manufacturing leadership with the ability to drive strategies that improve quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating leadership, sensitivity, and a commitment to fostering teamwork through positive, cooperative communication.
  • Solid knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including statistical process control and lean manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering, with a conceptual grasp of chemical and/or process engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising production personnel.
  • Skilled in managing daily production schedules and effectively allocating resources.
  • A fair, consistent, and confident leader who applies rules, policies, and procedures with integrity.
